Sally Gifford

Sally Gifford is best known as one of the hosts of the CBC’s national children’s show, The-X, which ran from 2003 until Sally left the show to pursue other projects in 2006.

She attended the famous American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City after graduating with an honors B.A. in Theatre and Sociology from Queen’s University. She previously attended Toronto’s Northern Secondary School, which has a number of alumni who are well known in TV and film.

At the beginning of her career, on stage, she performed at Theatre Kingston and The Thousands Island Playhouse, while earning her degree in drama at Queen’s University. Then she moved on to TV, both as a host, and actress.

On The-X, she’s interviewed various stars, such as Lindsay Lohan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katie Holmes, Hilary Duff, and Jude Law.

Recent film roles include In God’s Country (2007) and currently, Sally plays the reoccurring role of ‘Tanya’ on ABC Soapnet’s ‘MVP’.

Look for Sally in the Lifetime original movie ‘Killing Mr. Kissel’ in November, 2008.
